Travel between Narvik and Å in Lofoten

On the Narvik – Å (Lofoten) – Narvik route, you can travel in a large area, spreading out between Narvik and Lofoten, by bus. The buses are operated by the Arctic Route (part of Best Arctic) with English-speaking drivers, free WI-FI and toilets onboard. You can also use your travel pass on both this route and the Tromsø - Kabelvåg (Lofoten) - Tromsø route.

Our daily-operated bus route brings you between east to west: from Narvik, via Evenes airport, Svolvær, Henningsvær, Hamnøy, Reine, all the way to Å, the most west-located village in Lofoten.

This is a daily route, in both directions. The route connects many of the entry and exit points in the Arctic Route summer area, such as the train to Sweden in Narvik, Evenes airport, the ferry to Bodø, and Hurtigruten in Svolvær.

You will have a very exclusive activity stop: the fisher village of Nusfjord, one of Norway’s best-maintained fjord villages, with museums, bakery, bars, restaurants, and galleries to visit. To enter this authentic fishing village, an entrance fee is required (the entrance fee is included in your ticket).

Important information:

To change from West – East (route Lofoten (Å) – Narvik) to North – South (route Tromsø – Lofoten (Kabelvåg), an overnight in Svolvær is needed.

Daily service

Our daily-operated bus route brings you from/between east to west: from Narvik, via Evenes airport, Svolvær, Henningsvær, Hamnøy, Reine, all the way to Å, the most western village on Lofoten. And this in both directions, every day. The route connects many of the entry and exit points in the Arctic Route summer area, such as the train to Sweden in Narvik, Evenes airport, the ferry to Bodø, and the Hurtigruten in Svolvær.

Fixed price

Travel the whole route or just for a shorter distance. Our price system is set up with a price per distance which fits all different needs. The number of kilometers and the price go hand in hand.

Travel Passes

Travel with a 4, 7, or 10-day travel pass by bus and connected ferries  (valid on the Tromsø – Lofoten – Tromsø and Narvik – Lofoten – Narvik routes).

These travel passes will allow you to save money, as you can use them without limit on how many times you can hop on/ off during this period, on both routes Tromsø – Lofoten (Kabelvåg) – Tromsø and Narvik – Lofoten (Å) – Narvik, at the same time, allowing you to try both of them during the duration of your travel pass.

* Hop-on/hop-off stops:

Guests will hop off the bus and stay at this location. Our hop-off stops always have activities, accommodation, and eating facilities. The next day, they can hop on the bus again to continue their journey in the same or opposite direction.

* Photo Stop:

We don’t want a good memory-creating place to be passed by. Our photo stops take between 15 to 25 minutes, so guests have time to take photos, stretch their legs, and breathe the Arctic! After this, hop on the same bus to continue your journey.

* Activity Stops:

Our Activity Stops take around 1 hour, so guests can visit a place, without having to book an overnight. These activity stops are ideal for food breaks, buying souvenirs, or visiting a village, a beach, or a fjord. And after that, the guests continue their journey on the same bus.
