Winter Food & Culture Tours in Tromsø
In the winter, from late November to mid-January, you will experience the blue hours of the Polar Night. Go on a foodie trip and taste Arctic food along the way!
Explore the beautiful coastal and inland landscape west of Tromsø by minibus and try samples of dried reindeer meat and codfish snacks (stockfish), with our Fjord Tour.
You can also try out the snow by wearing snowshoes and join a Guided easy snowshoeing with a visit to local café.
If you are into boat tours, why not trying our 1-Hour Photo & History Cruise for some Arctic culture and history to discover Tromsø from the sea?
On other hand, if you would prefer a fishing tour, you can either go on our 3-hour Fishing Tour by boat or try an authentic Arctic experience: Ice Fishing! We offer, you choose!
Or why not join an Aurora Dinner Cruise?
On this tour, you go on a boat trip around Tromsø island and enjoy a delicious homemade dinner made by a local restaurant while (maybe) seeing aurora borealis dancing above the fjord.
Vegetarian option for this tour is also available.
If you want to combine the Northern Lights and a cultural experience, join our Sami Reindeer Camp tour.
You will be served bidos, a traditional Sami dish made with slow-cooked reindeer meat, carrots, and potatoes (vegetarian option also available).
If you wish, you can also add a reindeer sled experience to this tour and go on our Sami Reindeer Camp & Sledding.
All year-round Food & Culture Tours in Tromsø
You can’t visit Northern Norway without trying fish!
There are many fish specialties in Norway, but the best known in the Arctic region is cod!
We recommend trying cod delicacies – such as cod caviar, cod skin snacks, and cod liver oil – during a guided visit to Full Steam museum in Tromsø (coming soon). Your guide will also tell you more about the history of the cod industry, from fishing to export.
It’s even cooler if you catch the fish yourself. Try your fishing luck on our Fishing & Fjord Cruise.
The skipper will cook and serve the catch of the day (when possible) on board the boat. It can’t get fresher and more delicious than that!
If you would like to go on a sightseeing tour on board an historical boat with modern technology, then you should definitely try our Fjord & History Cruise.
Finally, to end your evening, visit Tromsø’s only ice-made Magic Ice Bar, with a welcome drink included and observe the hand-made ice sculptures there.
Summer Food & Culture Tours in Lofoten
In the summer, from mid-May to late July, you will be mesmerized by the golden hues of the Midnight Sun. Lofoten is a great destination to experience the Arctic Summer: nature, good weather and reasonable temperatures, with amazing views, fjords and mountains.
Try our Henningsvær Cultural Tasting Cruise (departing from Svolvær) for a Lofoten taste and sightseeing cruise onboard a modern hybrid catamaran, or visit the Viking Museum Lofotr (coming soon), located in Bøstad, Lofoten and get your entrance ticket online.
