To ensure a smooth journey along the Arctic Route, it’s crucial to reserve your spot on the bus in advance. Even if you’re planning last-minute, you can book just before departure.

Dressing in layers

When traveling by bus in the Arctic, dressing appropriately is key to your comfort. The secret to staying warm is layering your clothing. Start with synthetic underwear or merino wool as a base layer, as these materials wick moisture away from your skin. Add fleece or wool garments as your middle layer for insulation. Top it off with a windproof outer layer to protect you from the elements. Remember, multiple thin layers are more effective than a couple of thick ones, allowing you to adjust your temperature easily throughout your journey.
