You can easily visit Sommarøy, even without a car. With the summer bus route between Tromsø and Sommarøy, you can comfortably travel between Tromsø and Sommarøy while enjoying a scenic coastal drive.

The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours each way and operates daily from 15 June until 23 August. Departures from Tromsø are at 08:45 (arrival 10:05) and 11:30 (arrival 13:10), while departures from Sommarøy are at 14:15 (arrival 16:00) and 19:10 (arrival 20:25). Please note that on Sundays there are no morning departure (08:45–10:05), so we recommend checking the timetable in advance to find the best option for your plans.
