Best Arctic offers several Reindeer & Sami culture perfect tourism experiences to try if you visit Tromsø, and especially if you are a family with kids. You can do it daytime or, even better, in the evening and have a chance to see the northern lights with the reindeers!
The tour starts with a pick-up directly from Tromsø city center, at Radisson Blu Hotel, so you don’t need to go to the reindeer farm by yourself, which is also good to know. You will meet and feed reindeers and then have a small sledding tour with them.
I especially liked the explanations given by the tour guide at the end, regarding the culture and the wildlife in the Arctic region of Norway. We also had a chance to taste a hot reindeer stew (named Bidos), which was very enjoyable, after being in the cold outside.
I managed to experience the daytime tour and, next time, I will go for the evening one to have a chance to capture the reindeer with the northern lights! I would strongly suggest booking in advance not to miss it because the tours are often fully booked!
