Aurora Huts: Glamping in Tromsø, Norway

Have you heard of the new glamorous way of camping? Glamping involves more luxurious and comfortable accommodation rather than a traditional tent or sleeping bag. Typical glamping accommodation has electricity, a not-so-far-away toilet and made-up beds, making it far more comfortable. What if, on top of it all, we tell you that you also have the chance of seeing the Northern Lights from the comfort of your heated room?

What is good about glamping?

These huts have a 180-degree panoramic view that allows you to see the Northern Lights on clear sky nights, air conditioning, a comfortable double bed, charging points, Bluetooth, radio, towels, a toilet inside the hut and a hot shower nearby. The package also includes dinner and breakfast. With very romantic vibes all over it, this is perfect for a night escape with your better half. Did you know that it’s claimed that making love under the Northern Lights will result in prettier babies?

What can I do at the camp?

As an add-on to your booking, you can use the amazing Finnish sauna and the incredible jacuzzi at the camp and enjoy a very relaxed evening. The sauna uses refreshing pine tree oils that create a wonderful aroma when you are inside relaxing. Be bold and go outside to roll in the snow to cool down! The jacuzzi is located next to the sauna. You will be served refreshing drinks on a floating device while you are soaking in the hot water. If you are very lucky, the Northern Lights will appear while you are in the jacuzzi!

Dinner is served inside a heated room by the wonderful staff at the camp, who are always ready to assist you. A buffet breakfast is served the following morning with a lot of delicious options and fresh coffee (or expresso coffee if you prefer).

This experience also includes a snowmobiling tour during the day (next day). This is an incredible snowmobiling tour through the snow-covered landscape in the Tamok/ Signaldalen area. There are also snowshoes and fat bikes you can use free of charge.

Happy glamping in the Troms area!
