Arctic routes during the summer season

Between Tromsø and Lofoten from 15th June and 23rd of August, and between Tromsø and Rovaniemi from 1st June and 31st of August every year.

Between Tromsø and Lofoten and Tromsø and Sommarøy from 15th June until 23rd August, and between Tromsø and Rovaniemi from 12th June until 20th September.

Arctic routes during the winter season

Travel between Tromsø and Rovaniemi (Finland), Tromsø and Narvik, Lyngen, Storslett, Senja from 1st December until 31st March every year.

Travel also on the whale route, between Tromsø and Skjervøy, between 1st November – January.

The Arctic Route is as of today a collaboration between Bussring (Norway), Eskelisen Lapin Linjat (Finland) and VY (Sweden).

Frequently asked questions

The Arctic Route operates routes between Tromsø and several Arctic destinations. In winter (December 1 – March 31), it connects Tromsø with Rovaniemi (Finland), Narvik, Senja, Lyngen, Storslett, and Skjervøy. In summer (June – August), it runs between Tromsø and Lofoten, Tromsø and Sommarøy, and Tromsø and Rovaniemi.
